The photo above shows a collapsed deck on a house of only a couple of years old. Bad detailing and the use of insufficiently treated timber resulted in severe decay.
Services - How We Can Help You
Our Pre-purchase inspections (or builders reports) will enable you to make an informed decision about your purchase.
The report will advice you on:
- Existing problems and defects
- repairs
- Maintenance
and we can help with advice on future developments and renovations.
Our report is an important tool in your negotiations with the vendor of the property.
Our Weathertightness Inspections identify the existing and potential areas of moisture ingress and the damage that the water has caused to the dwelling.
Leaky Buildings
There are few words that sound worse than "leaky building", whether you contemplate purchasing a house or are living in one.
"The roofing needs to be replaced" or"we advice re-piling" are relatively easy to visualise.
A leak problem is different. It might be going on without any sign of the damage it is doing because it happens within the walls of the house.
Leaky Buildings always have one, or a combination of, the following in common:
poor design,
low cost building materials,
poor workmanship and
insufficient quality management during construction
To find out if your house, or intended home, is a safe and healthy place to live, you need expert advice from a qualified inspector.
